Water & Wastewater Treatment Grades We Supply
316/316L Stainless Steel Plate
316L is the baseline specification for water and wastewater treatment. Its 2-3% molybdenum content offers better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chlorinated/chloraminated water than 304/304L. Standard for pump housings, valve bodies, filter housings, chemical dosing equipment, UV disinfection chambers, and process piping.
2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Plate
2205 is the upgrade from 316L for more aggressive environments or higher strength requirements—think anaerobic digesters, aeration basins, or high-chloride secondary treatment streams. Offers roughly double the yield strength of 316L plus superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking.
2507 Super Duplex Stainless Steel Plate
2507 has higher chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content than 2205, specified for the most aggressive conditions like desalination and brine handling. Less common in standard municipal applications, but necessary when process chemistry exceeds 2205’s capabilities.
